Arlington, VA-based The AES Corporation, incorporated in 1981, is a global power company. The company’s businesses are spread across four continents in 14 countries. The company has four Strategic Business Units (SBUs) located in the United States and other regions across the globe. At the end of 2023, the company had a customer base of 2.6 million. AES Corp. currently owns and/or operates a generation portfolio of 34,596 megawatts (MW), including generation from its integrated utility, AES Indiana.

AES boasts a Growth Style Score of B and VGM Score of A, and holds a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) rating. Its bottom-line is projected to rise 8.5% year-over-year for 2024, while Wall Street anticipates its top line to improve by 0.3%.

Two analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days for fiscal 2024. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.01 to $1.91 per share. AES boasts an average earnings surprise of 13.8%.

Looking at cash flow, AES is expected to report cash flow growth of 6.3% this year; AES has generated cash flow growth of 5% over the past three to five years.
