VOTE: Will Facebook REALLY Go Public On May 18?

This afternoon, the Wall Street Journal reports that Facebook expects to hold its IPO on May 18 and will set pricing the day before.

This matches what we heard in January. Also in January, AllThingsD pegged the date as the second or third week in May. Last month CNBC pegged it on the 18th or 25th, with pricing set the day before, and TechCrunch heard the 17th.

There may be other reports we've missed.

Every report cautions that the date is not set in stone yet. A lot depends on how the roadshow goes -- it starts next week, according to multiple reports -- and whether and when the SEC approves all the paperwork.
