NEW YORK (AP) _ Virtu Financial Inc. (VIRT) on Thursday reported a second-quarter loss of $29.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had a loss of 27 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and amortization costs, were 16 cents per share.
The high-speed trading company posted revenue of $378.5 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $238.9 million.
Virtu Financial shares have decreased 15% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 7.5% in the last 12 months.
