Uptick in land bids not sustainable: REDAS president

No thanks to ageing demographics and heightened cooling measures.

Bloomberg reports that surging bids for Singapore land aren’t sustainable in a market constrained by demographics and the government’s cooling measures, according to the head of a developers’ association.

The words of Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore (REDAS) president Augustine Tan stir caution as land auctions and deals set records.

Home prices also rose for the first time in four years, ending a run of declines.
