GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) _ Universal Forest Products Inc. (UFPI) on Tuesday reported third-quarter earnings of $41.2 million.

On a per-share basis, the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based company said it had profit of 66 cents.

The wood and materials provider for the construction industry posted revenue of $1.21 billion in the period.

Universal Forest shares have decreased slightly more than 9 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $34.09, a climb of almost 3 percent in the last 12 months.
