TSB bank shuts 70 branches: Full list
High street bank TSB has moved to dramatically decrease its high street footprint with the closure of 70 branches.
The move will kick in across the UK next year and reflects a widespread move to online banking. Now, more than 90% of transactions are carried out online.
TSB said that it would have 220 branches left at the end of June 2022, compared to 290 today.
Even with the closures, the bank will still have the UK's seventh largest high street footprint and it will open ten more "pop-up" branches across the UK as part of the changes.
The staff affected by the branch closures will be offered other roles within the organisation, TSB said.

“Closing branches is an incredibly difficult decision to take, but we have to respond to the changes in the way people bank and provide the right mix of services for all our customers now and into the future,” said TSB chief customer officer Robin Bulloch.
The move is the latest in a number of closures over previous years, and comes following an announcement in September 2020 that TSB would shutter 164 of its branches. In November 2019, the bank also shut down 82 of its physical sites.
