KWINANA BEACH, Australia (AP) _ Tronox Ltd. (TROX) on Thursday reported a loss of $34 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Kwinana Beach, Australia-based company said it had a loss of 27 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to extinguish debt, were 18 cents per share.

The producer of titanium ore and titanium dioxide posted revenue of $390 million in the period.

Tronox shares have increased 48% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 34% in the last 12 months.
