Traveling without travel insurance could cost you $123,000

Travel insurance is not getting the attention it deserves. As if all the ISIS-related terrorism, lax gun laws and Trump-related protests are not enough, now we have flesh-eating bacteria to deal with when we travel.

Medical coverages may struggle to catch up with the dreaded onset of new afflictions, but that doesn’t mean you should ever settle for a lower cost option just to scrimp. Or worse still, traveling bare. At the very least, when something bad happens, the hospitalisation and emergency evacuation payouts can lighten your burden in ways you’d be grateful for.

To illustrate that a click of a button and five minutes of your time is all you need to pull up the most suitably recommended travel insurance plans at a glance, we made a mock 4-day pilgrimage to Jordan and picked out some of the more standout ones from the list. The sweet kicker here is that for the premiums you’ll be paying, you are getting much more than what you bargained for.
