Tokyo stocks slightly lower by break after eight-day rally
Tokyo stocks edged lower Wednesday morning after an eight-session rally and following big losses on Wall Street.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange, which closed at a new 15-year high on Tuesday, slipped 12.33 points to 20,425.15 by the break, while the Topix index of all first-section shares was down 0.10 percent, or 1.74 points at 1,657.83.
