Tokyo shares rise at open as Brexit fears fade
Tokyo shares rose in opening trade Friday as worries over the economic impact from the British exit of the European Union further diminished.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange advanced 0.78 percent, or 121.88 points to 15,697.80 in the first minutes of trading. The broader Topix index of all first-section shares edged up 0.68 percent, or 8.49 points to 1,254.33.
