This TikToker Spotted An Awkward Filming Mistake In 'You' Season 3

You season 3 has got us asking all kinds of questions, from theories about Joe's past to what the future holds for the characters and more. And, honestly, all this decoding and looking for clues has given us a pretty sharp eye when it comes to spotting tiny details.

So, it's no surprise that Netflix viewers have landed upon a filming error from the series, and it looks like a pretty awkward mistake.

One TikTok user took to the social media platform to share the moment, and we're surprised we didn't spot it sooner. In the clip, we can see Love texting Marianne from Joe's phone, with pictures of both Joe and Marianne popping up next to their messages.

Love writes "come by my house ASAP. Emergency," as Joe, but the message isn't what's grabbing our attention. Instead, it's the supposed picture of Joe (played by Penn Badgley) which, when you look closely, doesn't seem to actually be him.

Honing in on the detail, TikTok user @annabellleryan zoomed in on the photo - and, yep, while it looks similar to Joe, it seems to be a snap of a near-lookalike instead.

The TikToker added the text "You season 3... JOE'S MESSENGER PIC?? HELLO???" along with the caption, "I’M LOSING MY MIND???? WHO IS THAT?????? IT’S JOEY SILVERBERG". We can also hear a voice in the background asking, "Who is that?" before responding "No it's not," to someone presumably insisting that it's Joe.

While we're not entirely sure (thanks to how small the pic is), the man in question does seem to look slightly different to Penn Badgley - although we can't imagine how such an odd mistake could have come about.

Hey, maybe it'll all be answered in season 4.
