Three-storey shophouse in Telok Ayer up for sale

A three-storey shophouse with a roof terrace at 25 Boon Tat Street has been put up for sale by Expression of Interest (EOI), said marketing agent Cushman & Wakefield.

With a leasehold tenure of 999 years, the property sits on a land area of 1,774 sq ft and is currently undergoing renovations. It is being served by an internal lift, with the first storey, second storey and roof terrace approved for restaurant use, while the third storey had been approved for office use.

Situated between Cecil Street and Telok Ayer Street, the shophouse is nestled within the 'Chinatown – Telok Ayer Conservation Area', which is one of the city's key tourist landmarks.

It is well served by public transport, with the new Telok Ayer MRT station located right behind it, while Raffles Place MRT and bus stops are a mere short walk away.

25 Boon Tat Street also enjoys easy access to other parts of the island via the Central Expressway (CTE), Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE), Marina Costal Expressway (MCE) and East Coast Parkway (ECP).

Shaun Poh, Executive Director of Capital Markets at Cushman & Wakefield, said, "Commercial shophouses, especially those with approved restaurant use, remain an attractive option for buyers in view of the increasing demand for F&B spaces and the limited supply. With its excellent location and attractive price point, 25 Boon Tat Street is perfect for buyers who wish to invest in a commercial asset in the CBD or end-users looking to run a restaurant business."

The EOI will close on 21 August 2014.
