Tech in Asia Singapore 2015: your weekly roundup
We are six days away from Tech in Asia Singapore 2015! If you’re a conference pass holder, we want you to be as prepared as possible before May 6 and 7. Here are some useful tips for those attending:
1. Plan your time there
With so much going on at our two-day conference, think about which segments you would like to attend, and what you want to get out of our event. To plan your time better, view our conference agenda for more information. You would also want to know the schedules for Office Hours and Startup-Investor Speed Dating. We advise bringing a team (or buddy) so you can tag-team overlapping sessions.
2. Do your research
Our conferences attract a wide variety of attendees, each with a different agenda. No matter who is it that you are hoping to meet, enhance your networking experience using MATCH App, which helps to effectively connect you with conference delegates for private networking opportunities. If you are one of our conference attendees, you would have already received an invite on how you can best utilize MATCH App.
3. Know where you should be at Night Crawl
At Tech in Asia Singapore 2015, the networking continues after dark over food and drinks. Be in the know of where the biggest party is happening. You are also strongly encouraged to download the NOX app, which allows attendees to redeem free food and drinks (while stocks last) and other exclusive promotions.
5. Bring enough business cards and chargers
With over 2,000 participating startups, investors, media, and tech giants at our conference, you will want to make sure that you have enough business cards to go around. Chargers are also essential. If you’re really desperate for more juice, visit Braintree_Paypal’s booth, which features a mobile charging station.
6. Branded items
Make your presence known. Whether you are a startup, investor, or representing a major company at our conference, reinforce your brand by giving out branded items to other conference attendees.
7. Use our official conference hashtag
Are you a social media addict? Spread the love by posting or tweeting about Tech in Asia Singapore 2015 using our official conference hashtag, #tiasg2015 on your social media channels.
8. Prepare for registration
Conference attendees will receive an email from our event check-in partner, Zeguestlist early next week with your own personalized QR code. For a hassle-free registration process, print out the code or save it in your phone, and present it at the registration booth where your conference badge will be printed on-site.
9. Wifi
Rejoice – there will be free wifi provided at our conference venue, Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre. However, with so many people sharing the same network, we would encourage you to bring your own hotspot if you’d prefer not to risk the frustration of connectivity issues.
10. Save S$3 off your taxi fares by using GrabTaxi
GrabTaxi, the Preferred Asean Transportation Partner for Tech in Asia Singapore 2015, is offering all our conference attendees S$3 off their taxi fares, with the promo code TIASG15. Valid only for rides to or from Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre. More information here.
11. Enjoy exclusive discounts on hotel accommodation
Flying in for our conference? Download the Hotelquickly app and enjoy S$20 off your hotel booking using the promo code TECHQUICKLY. Offer is valid from May 1 till May 11, for first-time customers only.
12. Re-fuel yourself with some gourmet coffee
We understand a full-day conference can be draining. Thanks to our sponsors, Amazon Web Services and SoftLayer, you can now grab a cup of coffee for that mid-day perk-me-up at our conference lounge, or at SoftLayer’s booth.
13. Questions? Approach our friendly Tech in Asia personnel!
We’d be happy to help if you have any questions during the conference. Simply approach any of our friendly Tech in Asia personnel, who can be identified by a white Tech in Asia badge on their shirts. We won’t bite
To our conference attendees, we hope you find this guide useful, and we can’t wait to see you next week!
