ST Electronics grabs $490m contracts in Q2

The deals are for ICT solutions, satellite networks, and transport systems.

Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics), ST Engineering's electronics arm, secured around $490m worth of contracts for the second quarter.

The contracts will cover projects for rail and transport systems, satellite and broadband networks, and advanced Information Communications Technologies (ICT) solutions.

ST Electronics' contracts for rail and transport systems, worth $131m, included communications systems, automatic fare collectors and platform door systems, and maintenance services. These projects were set to be completed in 2024.

In the next three years, the company will also complete satellite and broadband communications contracts covering equipment and supplies worth $57m.

Lastly, contracts for ICT solutions worth $302m will provide a public safety system and cyber security solutions. The projects will be completed by 2022.
