HDB resale prices in Singapore remained flat last month, according to flash figures released by SRX Property yesterday.

HDB resale prices fell by just 0.1% in March 2016. 3-room and 4-room flats faced a drop of 0.8% and 0.2% respectively, while there was a 1.6% drop in resale prices for executive flats. However, resale prices of 5-room flats increased by 0.7%.

HDB resale prices for flats in mature estates fell by 0.3%, while prices in non-mature estates remained flat.

It’s also interesting to note that the resale volume has increased to 1,651 last month, compared to 1,200 in February 2016, which is a 37.6% increase.

The number of HDB resale flats sold in March 2016 was 22.5% more than the 1,348 flats resold in March last year. When compared to its peak in May 2010, where 3,649 units were resold, the resale volume has dropped by a significant 54.8%.
