SingPost appoints ex-SMRT TEL MD Shahrin Abdol Salam as CEO for Singapore business

Shahrin has more than 25 years of experience in operations management, strategic planning, asset management and engineering.

Singapore Post (SingPost) has appointed Shahrin Abdol Salam as CEO of its Singapore business effective May 1, succeeding Neo Su Yin who is pursuing other career opportunities.

Shahrin has more than 25 years of experience in operations management, strategic planning, asset management, business development, engineering and customer service. Most recently, he was the managing director of SMRT’s Thomson East Coast Line.

“Shahrin has a strong track record in leading operations, engineering and service quality, and I look forward to his leadership in our continued transformation,” says SingPost group CEO Vincent Phang.

SingPost also expressed gratitude to Neo for her contributions during her tenure, crediting her for leadership through Covid-19, the domestic service performance improvement as well as e-commerce growth.

Neo’s over five years stint at SingPost spans across various roles, including head of domestic post & parcel business as well as vice president of delivery operations, service quality and customer experience.

As at 11.20am, shares in SingPost are trading 0.5 cent higher or 1.19% up at 42.5 cents.
