Singapore's hotel room rates jump 12.1% to $250.5 per night

It placed third in APAC’s costliest hotel fees.

The city-state trumped its rival Hong Kong in terms of hotel room rates, but the latter’s charges grew more by a margin of 4.2% and stands at SGD226.5 a night.

“Furthermore, according to the Doing Business 2015 project by the World Bank Group, 15 of 25 economies in East Asia and the Pacific have implemented at least one regulatory reform making it easier to do business in the year from June 2013 to June 2014,” the report from HRS said.

Meanwhile, cities who aim to sustain this growth must be willing to tweak their game plan in order to accommodate more business travelers.

“We are committed to supporting them with their requirements, to ensure that they get the most out of their investments, while boosting employee satisfaction through intelligent sourcing and valued partnerships,” the report added.
