Silverlake Axis Acquires SunGard Ambit For US$12 Million

Shares Investment

Silverlake Axis has acquired the entire stake in SunGard Ambit (Singapore) (SAS) – a banking software provider that caters to customers in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, South Asia and Eastern Europe – for a consideration of US$12 million.

The acquisition sees SAS bringing in a complementary retail banking portfolio of software and service solutions to expand the group’s suite of software and services as well as deepen and broaden its customer relationships and geographical presence.

The acquisition is projected to contribute approximately 15 percent to the revenue of the enlarged group and revenue synergies are expected to be reaped through cross selling of software and services to each other’s customers.
