SGX's securities market turnover rose 53% to $29.4b in January

59 new bond listings boosted the increase.

Singapore Exchange’s securities market reported a strong turnover value, which rose by 53% MoM to $29.4b for the month of January.

During the month, there were two new Catalist listings and 59 new bond listings, which raised $32.2m and $25.1b, respectively.

Further, the securities daily average value (SDAV) increased by 39% MoM to $1.3b.

Market turnover value of Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) increased by 27% MoM to $253m, whilst market turnover value of structured warrants and Daily Leveraged Certificates (DLC) also went up by 61% to $1.4b.

The 749 listed companies had a total market capitalisation value of $1.1t at the end of the month.
