Sembcorp Marine bags US$145m deal

The hull carry over works is part of a larger offshore contract.

Sembcorp Marine’s wholly-owned Brazilian subsidiary, Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz Ltda (EJA) bags hull carry over works (Hull COW) for US$145m.

According to a press release, the hull COW was acquired from Tupi B.V. for the FPSO P-68 Tupi Project.

Tupi B.V. awarded EJA the contract for the Modules Construction and Integration of FPSO P-68 in July 2012.

The hull COW is part of the contract's current scope of work which will enable full integration of the FPSO P-68.

Sembcorp Marine expects positive contributions to its earnings but outside the fiscal year 2017.
