After the release of two (pretty epic) teaser trailers, it seems as though everyone is looking forward to watching Netflix's Harry & Meghan docu-series, which will give viewers an insight into the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's life. But, it seems that one group of people wont be tuning in the moment the series stops – the Royal Family.

In fact, senior royals will be attending Kate Middleton's Christmas carol concert on the day that the second half of the series arrives on Netflix, 15 December. Volume I – made up of episodes one to three – lands on 8 December, with the three final episodes (aka, Volume II) premiering the following week.

King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William and Kate – as well as other members of the Royal Family – are all expected to support the Princess of Wales at her Together At Christmas celebration at Westminster Abbey next Thursday.

Kensington Palace said in a statement that the event will be dedicated to the late Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away at the age of 96 earlier this year. "This year’s carol service is dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the values Her Majesty demonstrated throughout her life, including duty, empathy, faith, service, kindness, compassion and support for others," the statement read.

"These principles are shared and personified by the inspirational guests who have been invited to the Abbey in recognition of their tireless work to help and care for those around them."

The concert will also "recognise the selfless efforts of individuals, families and communities across the UK, and celebrate and showcase the joy that human connection and togetherness can bring."

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's documentary is expected to contain some bombshell claims about the Royal Family, including that they "planted" stories in the press.

Stream Volume I of Harry & Meghan from 8 December.
