Rowsley Teams Up With Thomson Medical To Develop Healthcare City In Johor
Rowsley and Thomson Medical has inked a memorandum of understanding to develop the Vantage Bay Healthcare City (VBHC) project in Iskandar in southern Malaysia, valued at RM5 billion ($1.7 billion).
The two parties will work together to conceptualise and develop the project and Thomson Medical will, in particular, advise on the wellness and healthcare aspects of the project.
VBHC – a 9.2 hectare site just a kilometre from the Johor Causeway – would comprise a specialist hospital, a community hospital, long-term care facilities and a medical school amongst other facilities, to tap on the increasing demand for healthcare in the region.
Rowsley said it intends to fund the investment through a diverse mix of financing including equity funding from investors.
