Raffles Medical Group’s 1H15 Net Profit Up 2.5%

Raffles Medical Group announced 1H15 revenue of $194.3 million representing a 7.8 percent increase from the same period last year, while net profit inched up 2.5 percent to $30.9 million.

The increase in revenue was attributed attributed to positive contributions from all segments of the group, with healthcare services expanding by 5.7 percent and hospital services increasing by 6.6 percent.

The staff costs increased $10.5 million mainly due to the recruitment of more doctors, specialists, nurses and ancillary staff for new and expanded operations at Raffles Hospital and the newly opened Raffles Medical Centre Orchard.

For the extension of Raffles Hospital, which is slated to be completed in the first half of 2017, the integrated medical complex will offer significant scope for the company’s expansion and growth over the next 10 years.
