Yahoo Finance Paris Hilton Forced To Deny Pregnancy Rumours Because It's 2021 And Nothing Has Changed
Paris Hilton has said that she woke up to 'thousands of texts' after false reports suggesting she is pregnant recently did the rounds online.
In a sigh-inducing scenario that we're all too used to reading about, Hilton - a woman in the public eye and in a relationship - had her body subjected to speculation over whether she is with child.
The rumour mill began churning on Tuesday with several tabloids suggesting the heiress and reality TV star was expecting her first child with fiancé Carter Reum, despite no suggestion from Hilton herself that this was the case.
A day later, Hilton addressed the rumours head on in a nine-minute episode on her podcast, 'This Is Paris', saying all five of her iPhones were 'blowing up with texts' congratulating her on the supposed news.
'Yes I am pregnant with triplets so thank you guys... I am so excited for motherhood,' the 40-year-old joked before clarifying, 'I'm just kidding, I am not pregnant, not yet, I am waiting until after the wedding. My dress is being made right now so I want to make sure it looks gorgeous and fits perfectly.
Hilton then referenced the 'tonnes of stories' with headlines claiming she was pregnant, saying in classic entrepreneurial fashion: 'I guess I shouldn't have worn my new Paris Hilton push up bra from my new lingerie line... I was wearing it at dinner with my fiancé... I guess some people got some shots and put them out and now they have a "very reliable source" that says Paris Hilton is pregnant.'
The Simple Life alum said she is very used to people reporting false stories and perpetuating rumours about her after decades in the public eye. Being honest with her fans, she did convey her hopes that she would like to have children after she marries and has even picked out the name 'London' for a baby girl and another city or state name for a boy.
Though Hilton kept the podcast light-hearted, she did say she was 'sick of people making up things' and reminded fans to listen to her podcast for factual updates about her life.
Hilton and Reum plan to marry in the next few months, with the wedding set to air on her upcoming fly-on-the-wall series Paris In Love.
