Ozzy Osbourne has blamed his year of misfortune on a doll he believes to be haunted.

The Black Sabbath rocker – who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease last year, and underwent spinal surgery following a fall at his home – makes the claim in his family’s new Really TV show The Osbournes Want To Believe.

The show sees his son Jack, 34, try to persuade Ozzy, 71, mum Sharon, 68, and sister Kelly, 35, to believe in the paranormal, including ghosts, UFOs, fairies and werewolves.

One episode sees Jack produce a doll named Robert that he reveals is the original doll that inspired the Chucky horror movie franchise.

Jack says: “So the actual story of Robert the Doll is that it is cursed by the spirit of his owner. ‘If you disrespect him, make fun of him, take a picture without asking or even handle him, you will be cursed and terrible things will begin to happen in your life.’”

Ozzy throws the doll on the floor, saying: “You think it’s a f***ing joke. It’s bad luck! I keep telling you. You keep thinking it’s f***ing not, but just look at what I’m saying.

“Just look at what has gone on with me. You think it’s a joke. Look, look at me. It ain’t bad luck?

“No, you shouldn’t have f***ed around with him. All along, when we first went to that place, the guy told us that people would buy them and send them back because things would go wrong in their life.”

Jack says: “I had a great year after that, I got divorced!”

Jack and Ozzy originally bought Robert during their series Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour in 2018.

Jack finalised his divorce from actress wife Lisa Stelly in 2019 after seven years together.

Ozzy recently said he had been through a year of hell, admitting he thought he was dying after undergoing spinal surgery.

He said: "There was a point I was convinced that I was dying.

"I was in that much discomfort and pain and misery. I thought they were all hiding it from me.”
