IRVINE, Calif. (AP) _ Opus Bank (OPB) on Monday reported third-quarter profit of $9.4 million.

The bank, based in Irvine, California, said it had earnings of 25 cents per share.

The state-charted commercial bank posted revenue of $73 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $60.3 million, falling short of Street forecasts.

Opus Bank shares have dropped 9 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed nearly 3 percent in the last 12 months.
