Nokia: 1Q Earnings Snapshot

ESPOO, Finland (AP) _ Nokia Corp. (NOK) on Thursday reported a loss of $129.1 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Espoo, Finland-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, were 1 cent per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 1 cent per share.

The technology company posted revenue of $5.42 billion in the period.

Nokia expects full-year earnings in the range of 20 cents to 31 cents per share.

The company's shares closed at $3.52. A year ago, they were trading at $5.32.
