Microsoft just announced two powerful new smartphones that can actually recognize your face

Microsoft just announced two new smartphones, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL. The 950 starts at $549, while the 950XL starts at $650. They'll be launching in November.
The new phones will also support Microsoft's Windows Hello technology, although it's in beta. This means your phone will recognize your face when you pick it up, and it'll automatically unlock when it sees you.
The phones come with a 5.2-inch and 5.7-inch screen with 564 and 518 pixels per inch respectively.
The phones will both have a 20-megapixel camera and so-called "fifth generation" optical image stabilization. Microsoft also says the phone's flash is designed to make sure your face isn't washed out when you snap a photo. There's also a dedicated camera button that lets you take photos more quickly.

Microsoft also says that you can get a 50% charge in about 30 minutes when you plug in your phone, which sounds similar to the fast charging technology in Samsung's new phones.
The phones' internals are optimized for better performance, too. There's liquid cooling technology inside, which keeps the device's processor and chips at a low temperature so it doesn't overheat.
Microsoft also showed how its new phones with with Continuum, the Windows 10 Mobile feature that actually lets you use your smartphone as a full-fledged computer by plugging it into a monitor.
Based on the demo, it seems really smooth. Alongside the new phones, Microsoft is launching a new dock that comes with ports for plugging in accessories, to support the Continuum mode.
