Malaysia's international reserves unchanged at $95 bln as of Feb 15
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 22 (Reuters) - Malaysia's gross
international reserves stood at $95 billion as of Feb. 15,
unchanged from Jan. 31, the central bank said on Wednesday.
Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) said reserves were sufficient to
finance 8.4 months of retained imports and were 1.1 times the
short-term external debt.
Malaysia's reserves in mid-January had fallen to lowest in
over a year, after the central bank introduced measures to shore
up the ringgit and stem the currency's slide against the
dollar.
The central bank released the following international
reserves data, expressed in billions of dollars:
