Everyone in Singapore uses Lazada to buy stuff, but if you’ve been hitting “check out” on Lazada without first applying a Lazada voucher code all this time? YOU’VE BEEN DOING IT ALL WRONG.
No matter which credit card you use to pay for your purchase, there’s probably a Lazada voucher code you can use.
Lazada promo codes / vouchers in Singapore 2019
With most credit cards, you can get 20% off (capped at $10) with no minimum spend on your first order. But c’mon, who never buy from Lazada before?!
So instead, we’ll be looking at what promo codes existing customers can get. Here’s a list of current Lazada promo codes and discounts you can get with different credit cards, sorted by minimum spend:

If you have ALL the credit cards, the best one to use is HSBC, because there’s no minimum spend to get the discount.
Otherwise, you can choose to accumulate your small purchases to hit the minimum spending requirement for the rest. StanChart and Citibank have lower minimum spends of $50 and $60 respectively, while DBS and UOB require at least $80.
For big purchases like electronics, you can opt for the StanChart $35 off $350 voucher.
How to collect & use Lazada voucher codes?
As of July 2019, Lazada has scrapped most of the old promo codes. Now, instead of promo codes, you collect Lazada vouchers, similar to Qoo10’s cart coupons.
In the past, you had rush to be the first X people to enter the Lazada promo code at checkout at a certain time each week. This probably caused Lazada’s payment gateways to crash or something, because they’ve switched over almost fully to the voucher format.
With vouchers, it’s slightly more relaxed. Lazada releases the vouchers at a certain time each week (e.g. Thursday 9am). At this point, you have to open the app or log in to the website to collect the voucher from the “Vouchers” page. Don’t miss this window because vouchers can be fully redeemed in a matter of minutes.
But after the vouchers are collected and sitting safely in your account, you have a week to utilise them. So there’s no need to rush your purchase.
Vouchers are automatically applied at checkout when you use the relevant credit card. If you have multiple credit cards in your account, Lazada displays the eligible discount next to each card so you can choose the right one.
More importantly… Credit card Lazada vouchers are stackable with Lazada store vouchers. Which means even more discounts!
Lazada DBS promo codes 2019
Practically all Singaporeans have an DBS/POSB credit card, so it’s a no-brainer to utilise these for the weekly $10 off $80 voucher. Be quick though — in my experience, this voucher is fully redeemed the fastest!

Lazada UOB promo code 2019
Among the credit cards with discounts for new customers, UOB is one of the weaker credit card options to use for Lazada. It offers 18% off instead of 20%, and the discount is also capped at $8 instead of $10. Fortunately they’ve just reintroduced an offer for existing customers, valid until 31 Oct. It’s the same as the DBS/POSB one.

Standard Chartered used to lag behind the rest when it came to Lazada promo codes. But now, StanChart offers a $6 off discount with a minimum spend of $50 for existing customers, and a special $35 off $320 for those big purchases.

For smaller purchases, HSBC is a good choice because their promo code for existing shoppers has no minimum spending requirement. Woohoo! The discount is just slightly lower than UOB and DBS — 12%.

Should you also sign up for Lazada LiveUp?
I used to recommend stacking your promo codes with Lazada’s loyalty programme, LiveUp, which used to let you earn 8% rebates (with a Citi card) or 5% (other cards) on every purchase on Lazada. Even if you paid the $28.80 for annual membership, you could still break even after just a few purchases.
But as of 1 July 2019, Lazada has officially turned LiveUp into a really crappy membership that I would not wish on my worst enemy. Summary of changes below:

It might still be worth it if you order a lot of stuff from RedMart, but note that you will not earn LiveUp rebates on regular Lazada marketplace purchases — only LazMall (official stores, usually more expensive or limited).
The only positive change is that Lazada has increased the LiveUp rebate cap to $50 a month, up from $30.
You need to use up your rebate on your next Lazada order within 30 days of receiving it, otherwise, poof! It disappears on you, just like all your drinking buddies when you try to get them to PayLah you back for last month’s beer session.

They may not have dedicated Lazada promo codes, but you might find that the card rebates give you a better deal anyway. Make sure you check the minimum spending requirements and cashback cap before you cart out, though.
Banks have been tightening the cashback caps on online expenditure, so if you are a hardcore online shopper, you may want to consider a rewards or miles card instead. Some highlights are:
