Yahoo Finance Kelsea Ballerini’s CMT Awards 2024 Looks: Red David Koma Dress, ‘Barbie’-inspired Cowgirl Costume and More
Kelsea Ballerini wore this season’s hottest hue — red — while attending the CMT Awards in Austin on Sunday.
The country star, who also hosts this year’s ceremony, opted for a plunging David Koma gown featuring lace details and a pleated skirt. Ballerini added on a pair of satin open-toe platforms by Jimmy Choo, completing her look with diamond rings and earrings from Effy Jewelry.

Styling duo Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, who also count Jennifer Lopez and Lily Collins as clients, dressed Ballerini for the occasion.
Hairdresser Peter Lux styled the singer’s blonde tresses in waves, while makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan Fisher gave her a smokey eye and rosy blush.
Ballerini attended the award show alongside her boyfriend, “Outer Banks” actor Chase Stokes. Stokes and Ballerini have been dating since January 2023.
Rouge hues are poised for popularity this year after fiery shades took the runways of Valentino, Carolina Herrera and Emilia Wickstead by storm during the fall 2023 season. Stars such as Selena Gomez, Florence Pugh and Kylie Jenner have brought the trend into 2024, incorporating red at events like the Golden Globes and Paris haute couture week.

Ballerini donned her “Barbie” best in a Western-inspired ensemble reminiscent of Margot Robbie’s pink cowgirl look from the film.
To perform alongside Melissa Etheridge, Ballerini wore a sheer beaded top with matching trousers by Georges Hobeika, accessorizing with metallic Jimmy Choo platforms.
Ballerini changed into a sheer rhinestoned dress by Dolce & Gabbana, wearing high-waisted underwear and a bustier bra underneath.
Ballerini’s next look was a sunshine yellow mock neck gown by Mônot, which featured a sultry thigh-high slit.
Ballerni paired a St. Jude Children’s Hospital graphic t-shirt with pleated khaki wide-leg trousers and black embellished pumps. The country star completed her look with turquoise jewelry.
To perform “Love Me Like You Mean It,” Ballerini wore a high-neck Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit featuring gold rhinestones, accessorizing with sheer stockings and statement earrings.
One of Ballerini’s final looks of the night consisted of an oversize cropped motorcycle jacket and a matching miniskirt, both by Alexandre Vauthier.
Ballerini closed out the CMT Awards in a mint green LaPointe blazer dress adorned with ostrich feathers.
