JustCo to distribute free masks to members returning to work

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - With the “circuit breaker” gradually easing from June 2, homegrown flexible workspace operator JustCo is stepping up measures to protect its staff and members in Singapore who are back at the workplace. The co-working company intends to distribute 100,000 free, surgical-grade masks to its staff and members, as well as give them out at buildings where it is located.

According to a JustCo spokesperson: "By next week, our community teams would be distributing free surgical grade masks to each and every member and staff – as part of welcoming them back to work. Besides JustCo members and staff, JustCo also aims to safeguard the well-being of the communities around us. In this spirit, free masks will be given out at buildings where JustCo has presence in, extending the circle of care to the building tenants."

The masks are part of JustCo’s sponsorship towards Singapore’s first fully automated mask manufacturing line, which was initiated and led by local
company Razer. JustCo says it will donate any remaining masks to charity organisations which JustCo members can nominate.

On top of this offering, the office space provider is implementing measures to maintain health and safety in its office environment. Safe-distancing measures will be implemented through furniture reconfiguration in common areas and prominent signages. Contactless thermometers and hand sanitisers are free for members and guests to use.

Virtual events will take place in lieu of physical events, and the company says that members can utilise the JustConnect feature in its mobile app to reach out to other members to seek business opportunities.

The spokesperson adds: "With companies and businesses returning back to work as they’re unable to continue working from home, JustCo saw about 20% of members returning back to our centres in Singapore. Our community teams have also stepped up to provide assistance to members, helping them transit and adapt into the ‘new norm’ in a workplace – by ensuring that everyone is aware and adheres to the stringent safety and social distancing measures set in place. So far, the feedback we have received from members have been positive."
