JPMorgan computers hit by hackers again: report

JPMorgan Chase's computer network has been hit by hackers for the second time in three months, the New York Times reported Thursday.

JPMorgan, the nation's largest bank by assets, found that hackers from Italy or another part of southern Europe accessed bank servers, the Times said, citing people familiar with the investigation.

JPMorgan said in August that it was cooperating with law-enforcement officials to determine the scope of the first hacking episode.

Some news accounts said investigators were probing the summer attack to determine whether it may have been organized by Moscow in response to US sanctions on the country over Russia's involvement in Ukraine.

The Times said it isn't clear whether the latest attack constitutes a second breach or is a result of the first episode.

JPMorgan officials did not have an immediate comment.
