NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India's fertiliser minister said on Friday that consumption of urea will be lower by 2.5 million tonnes in fiscal year 2024 due to rising use of domestically-made alternative nano urea.

The consumption of urea was 31.7 million tonnes by the end of January, compared with 35.7 million tonnes in the previous financial year, Mansukh Mandaviya told reporters.
