Traveling home for the holidays? Here are 4 things you need to do right now.

1. Christmas wreath cookies

These adorable cookies are packed with marshmallows and look just like tiny Christmas wreaths! To make them, melt butter in a pot. Then pour in marshmallows. Slowly melt the marshmallows, making sure they don’t burn. Then mix in green food dye and cornflakes. Shape the cornflake and marshmallow mixture into circular wreath shapes, and dot them with red candies.

This simple pastry dish will be your go-to all holiday season:

2. Three-ingredient meringue Christmas tree cookies

These three-ingredient meringue Christmas tree cookies are so sweet and easy to make! Start by mixing egg whites, salt and sugar in a bowl until stiff peaks form. Then carefully stir in a small amount of green food coloring, and transfer the mixture into a piping bag. On a piece of parchment paper, use the piping bag to carefully make your Christmas tree shape. Then add some large sprinkles to serve as ornaments on your tree, and bake for three hours.

3. Grinch cookies

These How the Grinch Stole Christmas-inspired Christmas cookies will make your heart grow three sizes! To make them, combine eggs, oil, vanilla extract and green food coloring in a bowl. Then stir in store-bought cake mix. Refrigerate the dough until it is slightly firm. Then use an ice cream scoop to create your cookie shapes. Coat the cookies in powdered sugar, and bake them in the oven. Then press edible heart decorations into the cookies before they fully cool.

4. Gingerbread Christmas cookies

These adorable gingerbread cookies are shaped like Christmas trees, candy canes, ornaments and, of course, gingerbread men. Start by making your dough by mixing flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, brown sugar, molasses, eggs and vanilla. Chill the dough. Then use cookie cutters to make your cookie shapes. Bake the cookies. Then use a piping bag to decorate your cookies with red, green and white frosting.

5. Stacked Christmas cookie tree

This giant Christmas cookie tree makes a perfect centerpiece for any Christmas cookie platter. Start by making your dough, following the sugar cookie recipe of your choice. Then use different sizes of star-shaped cookie cutters to shape your cookies. Bake the cookies. Then stack them on top of each other, starting with the largest star-shaped cookies first. Decorate your cookie tree with frosting and ball-shaped sprinkles to serve as ornaments!
