Idexx: 2Q Earnings Snapshot

WESTBROOK, Maine (AP) _ Idexx Laboratories Inc. (IDXX) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $125.7 million.

The Westbrook, Maine-based company said it had profit of $1.43 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.37 per share.

The Animal diagnostic and health care company posted revenue of $620.1 million in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $628 million.

Idexx expects full-year earnings to be $4.82 to $4.92 per share, with revenue in the range of $2.38 billion to $2.41 billion.

Idexx shares have climbed 52% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 15% in the last 12 months.
