MATAWAN, N.J. (AP) _ Hovnanian Enterprises Inc. (HOV) on Thursday reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $46.2 million.

On a per-share basis, the Matawan, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of 29 cents.

The homebuilder posted revenue of $614.8 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported net income of $4.5 million, or 3 cents per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $1.99 billion.

The company's shares closed at $1.10. A year ago, they were trading at $2.52.
