Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks star Bethannie Hare has teased the outcome for her character Cher McQueen after her scheming goes terribly wrong.
Cher has recently had a difficult time after being bullied on social media, leading her down an insecure path. She also wants to use bleach to remove her birthmark in the hope that if it's gone she won't get any more nasty comments online.
Her concerned boyfriend Romeo ends up quitting his job at the Dog to make sure he can look out for Cher, but this stirs up more trouble in the McQueen family.
He talks with Cher's stepmother Mercedes McQueen about their brief romance from earlier this year – however, Goldie McQueen overhears the conversation and it's not long until it gets back to Cher.
Speaking to Inside Soap, Bethannie mentioned that "it's only a matter of time" until Cher gets caught out in her plan – she's been conspiring against Mercedes for some time and frames her for a kidnap of Diane Hutchinson's baby Eva.
The star explained: "Cher thinks Romeo's amazing, and she can't believe he actually likes her. So when it comes out, she'll have lost the person she loves the most to her stepmum, who Cher's extremely jealous of. Cher will probably feel as if she'll never be good enough.
"It's only a matter of time before everything is revealed including what Cher's been up to. She's been plotting for a while now…".
Mercedes sadly lost her and Sylver McQueen's unborn baby earlier this year and has been trying to conceive again, though at the first scan she receives the sad news that she's not pregnant. This leads Mercedes down a destructive path as she turns to alcohol.
Cher knows about Mercy not being pregnant and doesn't tell her father Sylver, and when he finds out that Cher withheld the information the pair end up in a massive argument.
In an attempt to get back at Mercedes, Cher steals newborn baby Eva out of her pram, placing Eva next to Mercy in the Dog while she's passed out as she tries to frame her.
With Cher's twisted and hurtful plan in place, how long will it be until she's caught out?
Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
