Hollyoaks' star Robert Beck has opened up about what is in store for his character Fergus as he prepares to skip town after enlisting Warren to take out Katja.
In the latest turn in this blackmail story, Fergus is once again left desperate for a way to silence Katja after she threatened to reveal what she knows about the botched laptop heist.
So he turns to his new lackey Warren and makes it clear there's only one way out: taking out Katja. And with a money threat hanging over his head, Warren agrees to follow through with the plan.
However, Fergus's actor Beck has recently teased that the tables might be turning and Fergus might find himself in trouble if Warren realises the extent of his exploitation.
"All the trouble Warren's been having with Sienna and their twins has left him vulnerable," the actor told Inside Soap.
"Fergus has been exploiting Warren's weakness to his advantage. But if Warren knew how much Fergus was using him, Fergus would be in big trouble!"
Meanwhile, Warren has been growing increasingly concerned that he will be left paying the price for his part in the heist as well as for his actions against Katja – and rightly so.
"Katja's blackmail could lead to the mutual destruction of Warren and Fergus," continued the actor. "And the only way to deal with it is to take Katja out.
"Fergus knows all about Warren's history of violence – when he's threatened, Warren will resort to that – but the one thing that Fergus doesn't reveal to Warren is Katja's identity, as Warren does have a moral compass and probably wouldn't hurt a woman.
"He's keeping it from Warren until it's too late…"
Beck also admitted that Fergus is taking no chances and is secretly planning to skip town before Warren can take any action.
"He realises the plan might not work, and what Katja has on him is so bad that the only way to get around it is to go.
"But he really does love Trish, and wants her to go with him. All of this has been for her, the money Fergus has acquired is all so they can live out their days together in the sunshine."
Before he leaves though, Fergus will be tempted by one last con when he overhears that Shaq and Misbah are in possession of a priceless antique
"At the basis of everything, Fergus is a con man!" said Beck.
"He's going to con Shaq, and put him and Misbah into a position where they will have no choice but to listen to his offer..."
The Hollyoaks bosses are being careful not to let anything slip about what will happen as Warren prepares to make his move.
Could Warren's moral compass kick in just in time before killing Katja? And could Fergus' greed for one last con get him into more trouble as he sticks around the village a bit too long?
Hollyoaks is set to air Warren's deadly dilemma in scenes on Monday, May 10 and Tuesday, May 11 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
