Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop Has Launched a Travel App Called G. Spotting

Gwyneth Paltrows ever-expanding world dominance is, quite literally, expanding around the globe.

Her company Goop recently launched a new travel appcalled G. Spotting, by the waythat provides users with a closely-curated guide to 25 different cities around the world.

The app focuses on general greatness and value, whether its for your time or money, Noora Raj Brown, vice president of communications at Goop, told Travel + Leisure.

G. Spotting culls its recommendations from Paltrows personal travels, as well as those of her personal friends and the goop team. The spots include an array of options like an Los Angeles taco truck, a community art center in Detroit, and a five-star hotel in Hong Kong.

The general thesis is that life is really too short to settle for a subpar meal or experienceparticularly when youre spending your precious vacation time and might never get a chance to visit a place again, Brown told T+L. That said, we also built our apps for locals who are looking for a new spot to try for dinner in an unfamiliar neighborhood, or need a recommendation for something like a colonic or a detox center.

Included in the app are tailored guides for different travel personalities (like foodie, has kids, art lover) and itineraries personally planned by Paltrow and Goop editors. There are also some celeb appearances: Reese Witherspoon chipped in for Nashville recommendations.

The app includes guides to 25 cities around the world, including mainstays like New York and Paris and some surprises like Detroit and Aspen. Each city guide includes tips for first-time visitors and practical logistics should an emergency arise.

Goops original travel app premiered in 2011, but back then it only featured three cities, and the much-less-cheeky name City Guides.
