GLP Leases 14,000 SQM In Greater Tokyo

Global Logistics Properties (GLP) has signed five new lease agreements totaling 143,000 square meters (sqm) in Greater Tokyo. Four of the leases are new customer relationships for the group.

Details of the leasing are: 60,000 sqm at GLP Zama leased to a leading global e-commerce company; 24,000 sqm at GLP Zama leased to a leading third-party logistics provider; 23,000 sqm at GLP Shinsuna leased to a leading electronics retailer; 20,000 sqm at GLP-MFLP Ichikawa Shiohama leased to a leading international retailer; and 16,000 sqm at GLP Akishima leased to a major Japanese supermarket chain.

The group stated that Japanese domestic consumption is strong and the group continues to see demand for their modern logistics facilities as companies seek to consolidate their operations to achieve greater efficiency and lower operational costs.
