Fiesta Restaurant Group: Q4 Earnings Snapshot

DALLAS (AP) _ Fiesta Restaurant Group Inc. (FRGI) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $856,000, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Dallas-based company said it had profit of 3 cents. Earnings, adjusted to extinguish debt and for asset impairment costs, were 7 cents per share.

The owner of Pollo Tropical and Taco Cabana restaurants posted revenue of $148.9 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $10.2 million, or 40 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $554.8 million.

Fiesta Restaurant Group shares have increased 39% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $15.79, an increase of 77% in the last 12 months.
