European stocks weaken at open
European stock markets dipped at the start of trading on Thursday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.8 percent at 6,115.35 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index also slipped 0.8 percent to 9,899.90 points and the Paris CAC 40 shed 0.5 percent to 4,316.67, compared with Wednesday's closing levels.
