Exclusive-Shell in talks to sell Malaysia fuel stations to Saudi Aramco, sources say
Energy giant Shell is in talks with Saudi Arabia's state-owned Saudi Aramco to sell its gas station business in Malaysia, the second-largest such network in the country, four industry sources aware of the discussions said, and a deal could be worth up to $1 billion. Shell declined to comment on the talks but said Malaysia is an important country to the company. Saudi Aramco also declined to comment.

Chinese tariffs could leave cognac makers with too much brandy
High Chinese tariffs on EU brandy would leave French companies with vast amounts of cognac that could be hard to sell elsewhere, according to Reuters' calculations, analysts, and investors who fear firms could be forced to discount. China opened an anti-dumping investigation into brandy imported from the European Union in January, sparking fears cognac could suffer a similar blow to that taken by Australian wine when China introduced tariffs of up to 218.4%. Australian wine exports to China, worth $1.1 billion in 2019, were almost completely wiped out by high tariffs.

Petrobras loads diesel from Reliance on crude tanker in India after delay
Brazilian energy major Petrobras has loaded diesel from India on board a Suezmax crude oil tanker after a month-long delay, according to shiptracking data and trade sources, the first such shipment from India in more than a year amid volatile freight rates for clean product tankers. The conversion of a crude oil tanker to carry clean products enabled Petrobras to ship bigger volumes of diesel from Asia at lower costs, with Asian sellers also seeking demand outlets outside this region, the sources said. The larger shipments will likely ease downward pressure on an oversupplied Asian diesel market and create a price floor for the current market, the sources said.

CANBERRA (Reuters) -Australian desi chickpea prices rose sharply after India suspended tariffs on imports, opening the door to a revival of a trade once worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Higher prices and increased demand from India will encourage farmers to plant more chickpeas in the coming months, said industry body Grains Australia. Australia, the largest exporter of chickpeas, is in pole position to benefit.
