Energizer: Fiscal 3Q Earnings Snapshot

ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Energizer Holdings Inc. (ENR) on Tuesday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $7.4 million.

On a per-share basis, the St. Louis-based company said it had profit of 4 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 37 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 47 cents per share.

The battery and personal care products company posted revenue of $647.2 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $675.9 million.

Energizer expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.90 to $3 per share, with revenue in the range of $2.48 billion to $2.5 billion.

Energizer shares have fallen 13% since the beginning of the year.
