Dow futures tick lower, Nordstrom adds 7.1% after earnings

Investing.com - U.S. stock futures were trading within a tight range during Wednesday's evening deals, after major benchmark averages finished slightly lower as market participants remain focused on the U.S. debt ceiling deal, with the House set for the final vote later in the session.

By 7:15pm ET (11:15pm GMT) Dow Jones Futures were down 0.1%, while S&P 500 Futures and Nasdaq 100 Futures remained flat.

In extended trade, C3 Ai Inc (NYSE:AI) shed 19.8% after the company reported Q4 losses of $0.13 per share versus expected losses of $0.17 per share, while revenue came in at $72.4 million versus $71.29 million expected.

Okta, Inc. (NASDAQ:OKTA) shed 16.5% after reporting Q1 EPS of $0.22 versus $0.12 expected on revenues of $518 million versus $511.02 million expected.

Nordstrom Inc (NYSE:JWN), jumped 7.1% in extended trading after the company reported EPS of $0.07 versus expected losses of $0.10 per share, while revenue came in at $3.18 billion versus $3.16 billion expected.

Salesforce Inc (NYSE:CRM) shares fell about 5.7% after reporting EPS of $1.69 versus $1.61 expected on revenues of $8.25 billion versus $8.18 billion expected.

NetApp (NASDAQ:NTAP) lifted 6.1%, reporting Q4 EPS of $1.54 versus $1.34 expected on revenues of $1.58 billion versus $1.55 expected.

Ahead in Thursday's session, investors will be monitoring ADP employment change data, jobless claims, Markit and ISM manufacturing PMIs, as well as a speech from FOMC member Harker.

During Wednesday's regular trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 134.5 points or 0.4% to 32,908.3, the S&P 500 fell 25.7 points or 0.6% to 4,179.8 and the NASDAQ Composite lost 82.1 points or 0.6% to 12,935.3.

On the bond markets, United States 10-Year rates were at 3.643%.
