Each NFT will be minted on the Palm blockchain, an Ethereum (ETH) sidechain featuring a distinct identity and set of characteristics that reflect the diversity of Batman stories and fans. By owning Bat Cowl NFTs, fans can unlock rewards that include Web3 experiences.

NFT holders will be able to access a private DC Universe fan forum. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase physical collectibles, choose fan events, and more.

The two-year roadmap aims to take Bat Cowl holders on a journey into areas including augmented reality and the Metaverse.

DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee said,

“While Batman is one of the world’s most iconic Super Heroes, garnering hundreds of millions of fans all around the globe – his appears has changed and shifted over the past 83 years.”

Jim Lee added,

“What’s exciting about this amazing collaboration is that we are continuing the evolution of his distinct Bat Cowl by bringing it into the modern digital world, making it accessible and more wildly engaging than ever before. Through the introduction of carefully curated colors, textures, and upgrades – the end results offer a take and taste for every kind of Batman fan out there and serve as powerful ways for all of us to make a timeless icon our very own.”

The Bat Cowl Collection will go on sale from April 26, 2022, each with a $300.00 price tag. Upgrades will be available on nft.dcuniverse.com.

DC FanDome NFT owners will have exclusive access to the Bat Cowl pre-sale.

Batman Follows other Superheroes, Including Spider-Man into Virtuality
