David Attenborough's Life in Colour amazes BBC viewers with epic wrestling match between two frogs

David Attenborough's Life in Colour aired its first episode on BBC One tonight (February 28), treating viewers to some mesmerising visuals. It also featured the best wrestling match you'll see this year.

Using the latest camera technology, the brand-new series explores the extraordinary ways in which animals use colour: to attract mates, fight rivals and warn off predators.

Like everything the legendary natural historian has ever done, the series premiere was widely praised by those watching it at home, amazed by the vibrant and bizarre wildlife wonders on display.

The biggest talking point of the episode, however, was a monumental wrestling match between two poisonous frogs in the Central American rainforest.

After explaining how the bite-sized amphibians use their bright colours to both attract mates and warn off anyone looking for a meal, two of the little blighters soon engaged in biblical clash for the ages.

Fighting for the title of Most Eligible Frog Bachelor, the two of them proceeded to lock bodies before pulling off a number of suplexes and backdrops. It was absolute chaos.

"Watching #DavidAttenborough #LifeinColour is just brilliant. Never did I think watching two tiny red frogs wrestling amongst leaves would bring me so much joy," tweeted one thoroughly entertained viewer.

Another wrote: " Two little frogs, as small as your fingernails, having a wrestling match is just wonderful."

"Did that frog just hit a German suplex?" added another.
