SINGAPORE — Dairy Farm Singapore is planning introduce its “Click and Collect” service at more of its supermarkets, after receiving a positive response during the initial roll-out at Giant Hypermarket Tampines over the last weekend.

In a media release on Monday (4 May), the supermarket retail chain said that it plans to extend the service to 10 islandwide locations – five Giant and five Cold Storage supermarkets – to allow its customers enjoy more flexibility during the COVID-19 circuit breaker period.

The “Click and Collect” option allows customers who order their groceries online to choose a time slot for collection (between 9am and 9pm), and then proceeding to the supermarket to pick up their orders at a designated area.

Currently the service is available with a minimum order of over $30 and a maximum order size of 50 items. Orders that have not been picked up two hours after the chosen time slot will be cancelled if they have not been rescheduled to a later time, and a $10 restocking fee will be applied.

Since the service began over the weekend, customers have take up over 90 per cent of the available slots. Customers can now get the “Click and Collect” grocery orders delivered to them via GrabExpress, in partnership with ride-hailing company Grab.
