And here's a quick look into the bonds market in Singapore.

The PISA survey revealed that Asian countries the top places of high school skills. Singapore ranked the highest for its teaching of science, reading and mathematics. Its students scored an average of 556 points, compared with the average among Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries of 493. Read more here.

Singaporean bonds are attractive choices given the city-state's very good credit rating. Usually, retail and institutional investors alike rely on third party credit rating agencies to determine if a debtor is likely to be able to pay back its debt on time. These ratings are issued for corporate debtors as well as for sovereign countries or economies. Although Western and non-Western credit rating agencies have come up with their own rating scales and rating methods, Singapore remains one of the handful of countries in the world to be rated very highly by all of those agencies.
